Prayer Leader Qualifications:
Candidates for the volunteer Prayer Leader position for a county will possess the following:
- Is a bible-believing follower of Jesus Christ.
- Agrees to the Vision and Mission of Cover The County
- Has led some form of regular prayer meeting in a group setting
- Can provide a reference from their pastor
- Is willing to commit to leading the County Prayer Call for at least 6 months
- Has some level of administrative Skills to manage the prayer time making each call inclusive for as many participants as possible.
- Understands and is willing to obtain prayer points from local resources (government, education, church and marketplace)
- Has a gifting of discernment and good listening Skills
Prayer Leader Responsibilities
A Cover the County Prayer Leader is responsible for scheduling and running one or more regularly scheduled prayer calls for their county including the following:
- Deciding the day, time and frequency of your County Calls
- Communicating with Cover The County leaders at least as frequently as you hold a call
- Obtaining teleconference call information from Cover The County leaders
- Recruiting people to join the call by registering at www.signup.com
- Raising up a Co-Prayer Leader from among the participants
- Getting the Prayer Call access info to participants via email or text
- Send email reminders for each County Prayer Call– 1 day prior
- Scribe notes during the call and Email a Prayer Report to participants (optional)
